Geelong Artisans on show at King of the Castle

Local café owner and Geelong resident, Robbie Lecchino, always dreamt of being ‘king of his castle’ by owning a café in the area he knew and loved.

Today that dream is a reality, and Robbie is the owner of King of the Castle café, a new local favourite serving incredible coffee and weekend crowd pleasers such as the chicken, chive, avocado and tomato baguette as well as the pulled pork slider with Asian coleslaw, just to name a few.

What was once a run down and derelict panel beater shop that had for years been deserted, Robbie set about transforming the space into the light, inviting and vibrant establishment it is today.

An excited Robbie tells, “A seasonal and more varied menu is in the pipeline for the coming winter months as we continue to expand thanks to customer growth and loyalty.”

“We also have a pop up Barber shop out the front in a retro caravan and we feature two local artisans every Saturday at our pop up market. Supporting and encouraging the local creatives is an important aspect of our business,” he says.

Future residents of Watermark will now have the opportunity to enjoy the artisan wares and produce showcased, with King of the Castle located only a few minutes’ drive away at 24 Pakington St, Geelong West.
